The high-performance Atmel picoPower 8-bit AVR microcontroller is based on RISC architecture and offers 32KB of in-system programmable (ISP) flash memory with read-while-write functionality, 1024 bytes of EEPROM, 2KB of SRAM, and 23 general-purpose I/O pins. It includes 32 general-purpose registers, three flexible timer/counters with compare modes, internal and external interrupt support, a serial programmable USART, a 2-wire serial interface, an SPI port, and a 6-channel 10-bit ADC (with 8 channels in TQFP and QFN/MLF packages). Other features include a programmable watchdog timer with an internal oscillator and five software-selectable power-saving modes. It operates at voltages between 1.8V and 5.5V.
